Farm Share or Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) is an alternative approach to food production that connects customers with local farmers that are using ecologically sound practices. CSA farms are generally organic and provide fresh produce and bio-diverse vegetable varieties.
Customers join a Farm Share by becoming a partner and paying at the beginning of the season for a share of vegetables. During the harvest season the farmer delivers farm fresh vegetables to a drop-off point each week where the customers come to pick up their share.
Every Farm Share is unique, offering different produce, pricing and payment methods. The common element is locally produced, affordable organic food and the opportunity to directly support and connect with the farmers who grow our food.
